I am advanced technician, and responsible for the bioinformatics platform, at the Statistics and Bioinformatics Unit (www.ueb.vhir.org), where I am working since 2011 providing bioinformatics support for the analysis of high throughput and NGS data, implementing and developing new workflows for the group and participating in training programs in statistics and bioinformatics for biomedical researchers.

From 2006 to 2011, I was MSc and PhD student at the Systems Pharmacology Group (former Chemogenomics Lab, http://syspharm.imim.cat) – Universitat Pompeu Fabra (www.upf.edu), focusing my research on the in-silico anticipation of the polypharmacology of drugs, with participation in the projects EU-ADR ALERT ICT-215847/FP7-ICT- 2007-1 and CANCERGRID LIFE-2006-037559.

In 2014, I finished the Postgraduate in Biostatistics: Fundamentals and Applications of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (www.uoc.edu).

In 2015, I started a PhD in Statistics and Operations Research at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research (EIO) – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (www.upc.edu), aiming for the application of integrative omics analysis tools to the translational biomedical research; but I have recently restarted my PhD project at the Department of Genetics, Microbiology and Statistics of the Universitat de Barcelona (www.ub.edu).

In 2016, I completed the Johns Hopkins University Data Science Specialization online course via Coursera (https://www.coursera.org/specializations/jhu-data-science).

As member of the GRBIO (Grup Consolidat de la Generalitat de Catalunya: 2014 SGR 464), I would like to improve and apply my expertise on bioinformatics and data science in order to better help the researchers of our environment in areas such as translational oncology, clinical neuroimmunology or neurovascular diseases.

Research areas:

Bioinformatics; Integrative Omics Data Analysis; Analysis of Biological Significance

Biomedicine; Transcriptomics; Proteomics; Translational Research; Biomarkers

Biostatistics; Multivariate Analysis; Network Analysis
