Biosketch

 I graduated in Computer Science at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1989 and I obtained my PhD in 1999 at the Statistics and Operations Research Department of the UPC. I have been working and teaching mainly in Exploratory multivariate analysis and Statistical software.

Since 2011 I am Vice-dean of Quality at the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB, Facultat d’Informàtica de Barcelona) at the UPC-BarcelonaTECH, dealing with the degree programmes accreditation taking into account the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area.
