Catalan and Spanish initiatives for COVID19
- The BGSMath Governing Council and the Catalan Mathematical Society have agreed to promote the mathematical and statistical contribution in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic. working groups are:

- Mathematical action against Coronavirus. Initiative of the Spanish Committee of Mathematics (CEMat). GRBIO PI Lupe Gómez has collaborated in presenting proposals to address the problem. More info: Proposal document or CEMat webpage.
- In addition, CEMat has created a subgroup of work with the aim to propose medium/long-term studies related to the health crisis caused by the disease COVID19. See more info: here.
- Whitin this initiative, the group UB_BIOST3_GRBIO is collaborating to forecast the number of cases, deaths and ICU admissions among others. This project within the initiative ForeCoop was granted with the FONDO SUPERA COVID-19
- UPC initiatives:
- The UPC participates in the fight against COVID-19 with different research projects and 3D printing of hospital material
- COVID-19 initiatives from UPC community
- COVID-19 report. Initiative by Oriol Mitjà, researcher (Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol). Experts’ request to the Spanish Government: move Spain towards complete lockdown. GRBIO PI Lupe Gómez is one of the signatories of this manifesto. More info:
