I graduated with a University Degree in Education, specialized in teaching Mathematics to secondary students, at the Universidad de Los Lagos, Chile in September 2008. During my bachelor degree studies, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in the Statistics courses. I completed my first Master’s degree in Applied Statistics at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile in January 2012. I obtained my second Master's degree in Statistics and Operations Research (MESIO UPC-UB), which is a joint program by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the University of Barcelona, with the support of the Becas Chile scholarship, in June 2016.

Since October 2016, I have been a Ph.D. student in the Statistics and Operations Research Doctorate Programme at UPC. My advisors are Klaus Langohr and Guadalupe Gómez Melis. The tentative title of my thesis is “Data Science in HIV” and it is focused mainly on the topics related to the survival analysis and omics data analysis, with applications to HIV data.
